May. 19th, 2006 04:45 pm4 family friends recently gave birth (the last one was today) so i thought i'd share them...
Alice Grace- I'm not especially fond of either name, but i think they sound gorgeous together.
Beau Olivier- French connections, obviously! This is very very very cute, Beau is a cool name too, i think it will work well until he's about 25.. and begins to age... i guess he could go by Olivier when he's older but we're in England, not France... and it's bound to be pronounced Oliver..
Ava Lucy Rebecca- Bit long, and yet another Ava to add to the growing number...(grr) I don't like Lucy, and especially not Rebecca but altogether it sounds nice and sophisticated.
Lia Jane- I love it, but i prefer it as a nickname for Amelia/Ophelia as I don't really like Leigh as a nn... Also, if it's just plain Lia i prefer it Leah. But this was a nice surprise as the mother is only 15 (gaahhh) and knowing her as well as i do, Leah was almost a Mackenzie/Brooklynn/Madalynn. It was so hard to keep my mmouth shut when she was talking baby names!!

Date: 2006-05-19 09:11 am (UTC)I really don't like the name Beau, I'm not sure how Olivier is supposed to be pronounced.
Ava Lucy Rebecca is a bit too long and doesn't really flow well, but it's okay.
Lia Jane is nice, esp compared to the alternatives you listed :) Lia/Leah is nms but it's okay.

Date: 2006-05-19 09:14 am (UTC)Alice Grace (though possibly not together, with the ce repition)
Beau Olivier (am becoming a Francophile, so yay)
Lucy Rebecca (Ava is pretty but so overdone)
Do agree with you about Lia
LOL when I was fifteen I wanted to name my first daughter Ruby Tulip. Still like Ruby, but would definetly pair it with something else.

Date: 2006-05-19 10:20 am (UTC)Beau Olivier~ LOVE, love, love these!
Ava Lucy Rebecca~ It's too bad that Ava has become so popular, it's so beautiful. I also love the name Lucy, and Rebecca is nice as well. Interesting combination!
Lia Jane~ While I've never cared for the name Lia/Leah, it sounds very pretty paired with Jane.
Congrats to all the new parents! :)
