4 family friends recently gave birth (the last one was today) so i thought i'd share them...

Alice Grace- I'm not especially fond of either name, but i think they sound gorgeous together.

Beau Olivier- French connections, obviously! This is very very very cute, Beau is a cool name too, i think it will work well until he's about 25.. and begins to age... i guess he could go by Olivier when he's older but we're in England, not France... and it's bound to be pronounced Oliver..

Ava Lucy Rebecca- Bit long, and yet another Ava to add to the growing number...(grr) I don't like Lucy, and especially not Rebecca but altogether it sounds nice and sophisticated.

Lia Jane- I love it, but i prefer it as a nickname for Amelia/Ophelia as I don't really like Leigh as a nn... Also, if it's just plain Lia i prefer it Leah. But this was a nice surprise as the mother is only 15 (gaahhh) and knowing her as well as i do, Leah was almost a Mackenzie/Brooklynn/Madalynn. It was so hard to keep my mmouth shut when she was talking baby names!!

love alice and grace, though not particularly fond of them together, since they both end in that -ce sound. i suspect it would grow on me rather quickly though.

beau olivier is really cute. i know a man (early 30s) who goes by bo (its his middle name) and it fits him perfectly, i think its a fine name that grows well with a boy.

lia is cute, and i really like ava but id never use it.

Congratulations, first of all! Pretty names, all of them; Alice Grace is stunning (but sadly becoming common!), Beau Oliver is GREAT (I think Beau sounds great on a boy at any age), Ava Lucy Rebecca is really pretty despite Ava's insane popularity (I love Lucy, and the two middle names are nice for such a common name) and Lia Jane is nice too, although I'd also prefer it Leah on its on. Sound is sound, though, and Lia is beautiful either way. Good for you that everyone named their kids such lovely names; a girl I know just named her daughter Burgundy Quinn. Consider yourself lucky. =)

I love Alice Grace. It sounds really classy and nice.
I really don't like the name Beau, I'm not sure how Olivier is supposed to be pronounced.
Ava Lucy Rebecca is a bit too long and doesn't really flow well, but it's okay.
Lia Jane is nice, esp compared to the alternatives you listed :) Lia/Leah is nms but it's okay.

I really like ...
Alice Grace (though possibly not together, with the ce repition)
Beau Olivier (am becoming a Francophile, so yay)
Lucy Rebecca (Ava is pretty but so overdone)

Do agree with you about Lia
LOL when I was fifteen I wanted to name my first daughter Ruby Tulip. Still like Ruby, but would definetly pair it with something else.

Yeah it is quite sweet, but Tulip is a bit far out to use IRL.

Alice Grace~ Alice is a fabulous name, but I wouldn't normally pair it with Grace.

Beau Olivier~ LOVE, love, love these!

Ava Lucy Rebecca~ It's too bad that Ava has become so popular, it's so beautiful. I also love the name Lucy, and Rebecca is nice as well. Interesting combination!

Lia Jane~ While I've never cared for the name Lia/Leah, it sounds very pretty paired with Jane.

Congrats to all the new parents! :)

I have a niece named Madalynn, and she spells it just like that. Madalynn. That spelling is getting more and more common.

well, all "alternative" spellings are becoming more and more popular, but I don't know if that's really a good thing...
