WDYT about the name Jelena? Which spelling do you prefer, Jelena or Yelena?

Also, here are the latest additions to my name list:
Greta
Maija
Sofia
Solveig
Tilda

Not a huge fan, but I definitely DEFINITELY prefer Yelena. Jelena looks like it would get mispronounced as "Jill-EEN-a"

Solveig reminds me of Peer Gynt. That's a good thing.

I love Jelena, spelt with the J. Although I think people might confuse the pronounciation.

I prefer Yelena just because I know that Jelena would get constantly mispronounced. It's pretty,.

I also really like Maija and Sofia.

Well, there are so many Russians in Finland that people will think you or the father is Russian. But if it doesn't bother you, I think Jelena is more phonetic in Finland - Yelena is more international, so to speak.
Idk, I'm just a close-minded bitch, but all parents nowadays seem to proclaim they love foreign names SO MUCH that it makes me think they are ashamed of being Finnish.

I used to know a Jelena! She was awesome.

In an English speaking country, I'd rather use Yelena, though.

& I love Sofia spelled like that!
