What names sicken you because they sound too fluffy/prissy/pretentious or like they belong to a girl born into an insanely rich and stuck up family?

Paris comes to mind instantly, although that's obviously a connotation thing. Which is a shame, because I actually quite liked it as a boys name [I think it's a Shakespere thing] before the whole Hilton thing.

Quite a few names ending in Belle or Bella have this problem for me - Aribella, Mirabelle, Isabella - although oddly enough I still quite like Belle and Bella as names in their own right.

Blair! I definitely second Blair.

Which reminds, Claire is one for me, too.

Aww, sad. Audrey, Aubrey, and Portia are some of my favorite girls' names, and I don't think snobby, princess-y types at all when I hear them. Just curious...do you have bad associations with them for some reason?

Haha, I immediately thought of Priscilla, too.

Stuck-up people ruin some names, isn't it?

Sophia.

And any names like: Blair, Peyton, Paris, Harper, Piper, Sonnet, Sailor, Poet, London, Kennedy, Scarlett...

I love this name when it's pronounced the way it's supposed to be pronounced (Spanish pronounciation). But when people say it with an American accent, it just makes me think of the car. Pooh.

Rachel...

The snobbiest girl I ever knew was just plain Rachel in name.

Prudence (Pru for short, naturally)
Isabella
Nicolette

Oh man, the snottiest little brats I knew were Adrienne and Paris. I hate both names. Ditto for Lauren, Whitney, and Natalie.

And I agree with the Arabella/Clarabella/Annabella/Isabella trend. Bella names just sound snobby to me.

Here's my list of names that sound "stuck up":

Katrina (This is probably the #1 worst for me.)
Vanessa
Shawna
Ginger
Venus
Aphrodite
Amber
Tatiana (This one is #2.)
Ashley
Ashlynn
Angelica (Probably because of Rugrats, haha. This one is #3.)
Tiffany
Sophia
Monica
Angelina (This one is #4.)
Stephanie
Missy
Britney
Nicole
Melissa (My own name. It just seems like in books and t.v. shows and movies, girls named Melissa are always awful! I, on the other hand, am not. ;oD)
Lauren
Alyssa
Clarabelle
Mirabelle
Annabelle
Brianna
Paris (Because of Paris Hilton, of course.)
Gloriana
Gina
London (Because of the show "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" on the Disney Channel...one of the characters is named London and her father owns a hotel chain and she's a rich brat, haha.)
Veronica
Krista
Francesca (Which is a shame, because I think it's a beautiful name.)
Larissa
Crystal
Chanel
Coco
Darcy

A lot of boys' names on girls sound really pretentious to me:

Blake
Emerson
Ryan
Drew
Evan
Kyle
Dylan
etc.

Names that try to be French bug me too, like Nicolette (which makes me think of Nicorette), Lizette, Juliette, anything-ette, etc.

Also, things like Kimber Leigh and Emma Leigh just come off as pretentious to me. (My apologies if either of these is anyone's name!)

And anything like Angel, Princess, Perfect, Precious, Jewel, Heaven, Treasure, etc. is just horribly pretentious and dreadful to me. Ugh.

Anything with "belle" or "bella" in it.
Also, AURELIA. Ugh, I hate that name.

Haha; that's my favorite name.

Names that I associate with "Celebutantes" would probably make the list, as would names that sound like they should be name brands. Coco? Paris? Ugh.
