What do you think of Evert? According to behindthename.com it's a low German version of Everard that means "brave boar".

I've been trying to get my husband away from Alexander (I just don't really like it) so I had him look at some names from The Baby Name Wizard (just got it and so I far I like it) trying to find something else we could agree on and we found this in German/Dutch section. Middle name will be Lee.

Our girl's name is Hana Rose.

And we're still about two years away from having kids so there's still alot of time.

What about Everett instead. To me Evert sounds like nonsense. I'm not saying it is but just to the ear it sounds like it.

Plus I bet he would end up getting called Everett all his life anyways....So there's that to think of.

Maybe you could spell it Hahna, which I actually kind of like.

And when you're the one carrying it for 9 months your hubby needs to compromise. Haha.

ha, Evert is a surname in my family, such as the tennis player Chris Evert. to me, it doesn't work as a first name.

I know some people called Evert...it's relatively common here (The Netherlands). It's pronounced AY-vert.
I'm personally not a fan...too old-fashioned for my taste.

Evert is weird and not nice. I don't like it at all.

Everett, as suggested, is nice, but Evert should not be the compromise :\
