oh and if she will be anything like my son, who is two and just started naming things, EVERYTHING would be Baby ___. our cat is now named Baby Kitty. our dog, Baby Dog. the new baby in momma's belly? Baby Baby.
okay okay ANOTHER comment! so i took a peek in your journal (sorry about that, but when i'm bored, oscar is asleep, i get a bit nosy) and i saw you are from missouri as well, i'm a kansas city gal...and and AND i saw you recently took a road trip which consisted of going up to kirksville. did you go to truman by any chance? i went there, my SO went there, i was an ATO staple gal, started there in fall 1998 and ended up staying up in kirksville for almost six years (i loved that town!). i don't know if you went there or not but my SO hung out a lot with the FTLs (silly anti-frat type thing, whatever), this is long, and rambly, especially if you really didn't have anything to do with kirksville/truman and just randomly decided to go up there. sorry, shot in the dark!
I was going to say Jujube (joo joo bee) until I saw the bear, who is clearly female, dress or not. Now I don't know, lol. Something with an "l," but I'm not sure what. She looks too dignified for Lulu or Lucy, and that doesn't go well with Dagny anyway. You want a smooth name that Dagny can replicate fairly easily.
Your daughter is absolutely adorable! And she is definitely a Dagney!
I think Dagney's bear could be a Sarah, Molly, Mildred (Milly), Lucy, Zoe/Zoey, Clara, Freya or Mia.
I also like more obsqure names, such as herbs (Saffron, Thyme) or food (Honey) or trees (Willow, Asch, etc) that would be unique for a bear... something you maybe wouldn't name a child.

I'll pick from all the names probably tomorrow. I just feel silly calling her bear Teddy.

I don't know why, but that just popped into my head. Maya is a good suggestion indeed, though.
Dagny is such a pretty name, by the way.

Hazel (The Hazel Tree)
Zola (Earth)
Tierra (Land)
Eve (Life)
Zoe (Life)
Zola is probably my favorite. I'd never name my child Zola, but I think it makes an excellent teddy bear name :D
