If you're totally bored by all of that, I have a question:
My husband and I are liking the name Zia Violet for our firstborn girl.  My father's family is very close and very small, and my cousin on that side has a child named Zoe.  Is the name "Zia" too close to the name "Zoe", considering the two girls would spend a lot of time together (they would be, at the very least, 7 or 8 years apart in age)?

In my opinion, Zia and Zoe are nothing alike (aside from starting with Z) so you should be safe.

Signed,

Christina, who has a cousin Christopher, who both go by Chris.

It's not that similar to Zoe, and even if it was, so what? They're not siblings, so if there is any chance of confusion, it will only be at the occasional family gathering. I think you should use it.

Nope, since they'll be cousins with a considerable age gap. If they were sisters, then it would be.
