I've recently fallen in love with the names Francesca Iris and Isobel Katharine. I don't know why, they just sound really lovely to me.

And no, they wouldn't go by Fran or Issy or anything else. I don't like nick names at all. People ruin perfectly wonderful names by using nicknames. ahah, I'm a little opinionated on the subject.

Anyway, my favorite girl names though are still

Elinor Susannah
Joannah Belle
Rosalind Louisa
Mathilde Katharine

I've just added the two new ones on, haha.

And just my favorite boys name to finish it off

Cyrus Jude
Wyatt Charles
Finnigan Jude (the only name really i like a nickname for! (finn.))

Yeah, I guess I kind of go for ollldder names. ahahha.

I love Isobel, but hate the spelling. I'm biased with Francesca. And Elinor.

But I do love Louisa with a passion... probably because I love The Sound of Music.

Oh- quick question:

Do you pron Louisa Louise-uh or Lou-EE-suh?
I pronounce it Louise-uh, but most people pronounce it the other way.

i just commented to someone else about how francesca is one of my favorite girls names. youre the first person ive heard of who also likes it! i really like the nn frankie. i kind of like masculine nn's for girls. i dont know. charlie, frankie. things like that.

finn is one of my favorite names also, but for a girl. finnegan is nice though, better than finley, imo. wyatt is really cute, and ages well, and i like johanna, elinor, belle, susannah, katharine and louisa. good taste.

My mom tends to call me Frenchie, after my middle name Francesca. I think it's really weird lol

...which makes it even better because I've played Frenchie in Grease in a play.

Use "Finley" or "Finnaus" (sp?)... "Finnigan" is the name of a puppet from Mr. Dressup.. it screams "TEASE ME!" The nickname "Finn" is awesome!

I knew an Elenor whose parents refused to use nicknames. Once her mother died she legally changed her name to Tyger. yes, like Tiger.

Yes, maybe she'll have more of an affinity for domestic animals...rabbit, hamster, perhaps puppy. :)

I like your two new names, but I hate the o in isobel. I ADORE Isabel, but it's because I love Hispanic names.

Elinor Susannah - I like this combo, but prefer Eleanor or Elenor.
Joannah Belle - I like the Biblical Joanna. The combo is super cute.
Rosalind Louisa - I am Rosalie, and I get Rosalind a lot. Drives me crazy. Louisa (which I have always hear Lou-EES-uh
Mathilde Katharine - Bleh.

Cyrus Jude - Love this combo and both names. Esp. Jude. Gorgeous.
Wyatt Charles - Adorable. Ages wonderfully.
Finnigan Jude (the only name really i like a nickname for! (finn.))
- I too watched Mr. Dressup and had a goldfish named Finnigan. It's a little funny to me. But I love Finn.

I think any one who spells Katharine that way, gets an A+. go you!

although, I am not so keen on mathilde. all I think about is a big fat german lady, with a crown of braids, red cheeks, weilding a loaf of bread with which to hit naughty children.

and I prefer Elinor, yay sense and sensibility!
