(no subject)

We won't be TTC for a couple of years, but it's fun to think about this stuff now :) Our children will have the last name Lefferd, if that makes any difference :)

I like the names:

Ava Rose
Hazel Grace (though Hazel is my dog's name..)
Iris (Any middle name suggestions?)
Jean (as a middle name, after my grandmother)
June (as a middle name)

Connor James
Isaac (What middle name goes well with Isaac?)
Liam

I've been told I go for the "old lady" names.

Input? Comments? Suggestions? :)

A couple in my church had a baby in the first week of April and called her Ava Rose.

I don't like the other names, I agree that they are "old lady"ish :P

I really like Connor James :) And I actually think Isaac and Liam go well together either way - Isaac Liam or Liam Isaac :D

hey, liking "old lady names" is, IMO, better than liking tryndee namez like Madycynn and Aydyn. Anyway, Ava isn't really an old lady name, it's in the top 10 for 2005!

Oh, I have one more suggestion. If you really like the "old lady" name then how about using them as middle names with a more modern first name.

I like Felicity Jean... or Mackayla Jean...

Those are all wonderful names with the exception of Hazel, it is way too wart-nosed witch for me!

I think a one syllable name would be best for both Iris and Isaac but can't think of anything off the top of my head.

That's the cutest Hazel I've ever seen!

I think 1/2 of the babies named "Ava" have "Rose" as their middle name... seriously.

I guess it's because it sounds so pretty together?

Most of your names sounds really nice with 1-syllabel middle names... here are some of my favorites... for girls:

Girls:
Brynn
Bree
Quinn
Faith

And I love "Zachary" as a middle name for boys: Liam Zachary ?

I really like Ava Rose, and I LOOOOOVE Isaac and Liam.

Middle name suggestions:
Liam Matthew?
Issac Michael?

Aww, I really like that one! I love Isaac as the middle name and I don't like the double Ls sounds cutesy. Normally I think it would, but in this case I like it.

I'm Rose!!!! It's the best middle name next to Joy.

Your names are old-ladyish, but I like most of them

Ava Rose - kind of popular, but gorgeous
Hazel Grace - cute
Iris - Iris Eleanor? Iris Amanda? Iris Jane? Iris Jean is lovely.
Jean - see about
June - Needs a long name, like Evangeline or something. :)

Connor James - love Connor, not crazy about James
Isaac - Isaac Joshua? Isaac Matthew?
Liam - Love it. Isaac Liam is great too.

Isaac is one of my favorite names for a boy. I love Isaac Alexander and Isaac Nicholas and Isaac Gabriel

I love your old lady names!

I do think of Iris as a middle name though, not really a first name.

I think Isaac goes well with Michael and Matthew. Possibly William, but I generally don't like William as a middle name because so many people have it for a last name. Isaac William would sound like a full name to me, though I don't know why Isaac Matthew doesn't have the same effect.

You've gone for the pretty old lady names that are coming back into fashion.

Ava is absolutely beautiful, and i hate that's so popular!
Ava Rose it's lovely.
Hazel Grace- i dont especially like Hazel but i can definetly see the appeal. Grace is such a popular middle name, but it's pretty and goes with everything.
Iris- lovely, I like Iris Olivia/ Iris Lavinia.

(i used to love Ava Lavinia, then i found out that was Ava Gardners name...not that it's a bad thing, just didnt want to steal a famous persons name!)

Iris is really difficult to find a good sounding middle name for... Iris Jean and Iris June are OK, but they just don't seem to be quite right together somehow.
Iris Nicole
Iris May/Mae
Iris Margarita
Iris Sophia
Iris Louise
Iris Georgia

Ava Rose and Hazel Grace are really beautiful

you do kind of like "old lady" names, but i think they're really cute on children. it may be kind of awkward in the adolescent and young adult years (at least with a name like jean, not so much with ava and hazel)... anyway, i really love the name ava, i have a little niece with that name (see avatar) and it's just a very precious name that i think is wonderful! i also don't think hazel is bad... that's my great grandmother's name. :) her name was sophie hazel, but she went by sophie. anyway... i like how iris jane sounds as a combo!
