Addeley. At first I thought of Adelie penguins and thought it must have been spelt like that. Pronounced ADD-uh-lee.

It's really grown on me.

WDYT?

Adelie would be cute spelled like the penguins, and as a nickname. Addeley looks messed up. Of course, Adelie is really cutesy and doesn't grow with a person. Adeline, Adelina and Adelaide are all much better.

ad·dle

Pronunciation: \ˈa-dəl\
1. Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English adel filth, from Old English adela; akin to Middle Low German adele liquid manure

2. transitive verb
: to throw into confusion : confound
intransitive verb
1 : to become rotten : spoil
2 : to become confused

Addeley is like a weird adverb version of these words...

I know! Eew! I only knew the second def. until today. Too bad, I really like the name Adele/Adela.

adelie is ok. addeley is dumb.

i am not at all a fan of the addy/addie names, though.

I think I would like it better if it was Adelei (add-eh-lay), which looks kind of familiar. I'm not sure if it's a real name or not...

it's cute but i would have spelled it adalee, in the original spelling there's just too many e's and d's, just kind of redundant.

I don't dislike it, but it does look more like a last name than a first name.
