How did Daniel Robert get so lucky?

I'm not really crazy about the girls' names, but I like the boys' names. I always liked Daniel, but the look of Kale looks nice and sounds nice too.

That's where I heard the name before...Oh God...seems weird to me now!

Kale? I sort like the name Cael... but kale is is a vegetable, not a name.

Or maybe it's Cale, not Cael. Hmm.

It could be both. I used "Cael" on a sim, got it from a namebook. I think they were both spelling options.

Anything can be a name.

Well, sure... Someone could name their kid Carrot if they wanted but I just think it's silly.

I like June and Cale. I don't like Cale with a K because it's a food. To me, it seems like it's trying to be Cale but trendy. LIke Kaleb.

I like the way Eleanna looks, but I'm not sure about sound. Is it El-ee-anna? I hope the middle names are family names. Kale is a disgusting vegetable and an even worse name.

I agree, I couldn't decide if it was supposed to be ell-ee-ANN-uh, ell-ee-AHN-uh, eh-LEE-nuh, etc.

From: [identity profile] lostrocket.livejournal.com
Agreed. I think it's probably a variation of "Eliana", which is I believe Russian or Spanish and is usually El-ee-AHN-uh (I am familiar with the French form..Eliane).

i actually went to school with a macaiah. but it was a boy. i assume it's either some sort of biblical name or the next trendy step after mikayla.

daniel is an awesome name though... :P

I was just about to say it's not a biblical name, just a trendy made up name, but I just looked it up and it turns out there is a Micaiah (different spelling) in the Bible. But it's a male.

I think that one is Micah. Totally different. I have a horrible feeling that they got "Macaiah" through manipulation "Michaela"...but how do you say it? eye-uh or ae-ah?

the macaiah i knew was mah-kai-uh

There is a Micah in the Bible... and Malachi... but also a Micaiah apparently. http://www.biblegateway.com/quicksearch/?quicksearch=micaiah&qs_version=31

Yah. I also found these:

Melatiah, deliverance of the Lord
Melchi, my king; my counsel
Melchiah, God is my king

Micaiah, who is like to God?
Micha, same as Micaiah
Michaiah, Michael, same as Micah

Why is Macaiah the only girl without a "J" middle name?

On that note, the only names out of the whole bunch I like are Amelia and Daniel.

Kale is a food. Not a name. Brooklyn is a place. Not a name. No idea what a Macaiah is, but I don't want to know. Eleanna and Daniel are ok, but other then that..eesh.

personally, i think if people are willing to name their kids Brooklyn, they should go all out and name another sibling "The Bronx".

So, I was actually thinking of the Dilley sextuplets but misremembering them as quints. I couldn't think of the last name so I just searched for "quintuplets"...and every single set of quints on that first page had better names than these poor kids.

So, for the record delusional Oregon couple, this is how it's done:

Rachael, Zachary, Jenna, Faith, Kaitlyn
Adriana, Alyssa, Bryce, Olivia and Serena
Ben, Mary Kate, Grace, Emma, Alex
Tanner, Taylor, Hunter, Parker, and Mason (majorly trendy but at least they're solid and spelled correctly)

Kickin' it old school (=P) with the Dionnes: Annette (1934- ), Cecile (1934- ), Emilie (1934-1954), Marie (1934-1970), and Yvonne (1934-2001).

And if you're naming six kids, you can still pull off something decent: Brenna, Julian, Quinn, Claire, Ian and Adrian (the Dilleys).

And my favorites, the McCaugheys did OK with SEVEN (even though I think the parents are a little wacky): Kenny, Alexis, Natalie, Kelsey, Nathan, Brandon, Joel. Those kids are so cute.

Now that I have spewed all over this poor post, it's time to go home.

I vaugley remember watching a made for TV movie about the Dilleys (didnt know it was based on true story untill now) i remember thinking... with 6 kids to name i'd be in heaven! & they chose majorly boring names...(except quinn, which i love, on a girl.)
not that i think the going down the uber crazy road is alright, á la Oregan couple!

Even though they're common names, I have never liked Daniel or Robert. To me the best one is Brooklyn June. Don't like Brooklyn, but it's similar to Brooke which is okay. And I like the name June.

I actually think they're all nice names...

I haaaaaaaate Brooklyn as a baby name. I dislike place names, but for some reason Brooklyn as a name inspires more hatred from me than the rest.

The middle names are all fine, and Daniel clearly lucked out in getting a normal name, but yeah. Not at all a fan of the other first names. Eleanna could be ok, but I just think it looks a bit odd. And how would you even pronounce Macaiah?

Girls:
Eleanna Jean- I think this is pretty, i dont like jean, but i assume it's a family name. I do prefer Eleana (aaaahh-nu rather than anna)
Macaiah Amelia- switch it round. Loev Amelia so much, but Macaiah is weird.
Brooklyn June- Dont like it.

Boys:
Daniel Robert- It's okay, Daniel is an awesome name.
Kale Michael- blah.

I'd have gone for
Girls:
Anabelle Hope
Esmé Anais
Ophelia Quinn

Boys:
Rory Charles
Lucas Alexander

But that's just me :-p & i wouldnt want quints! hard work!

it's too bad they don't go by their middle names... jean, amelia, june, robert, and michael. that would be so cute!
