my Great-Grandfather was one of fifteen children, but I think only eight of them survived past thirty. I guess that is what happens when you are born in Appalachia. My Gramps ran away from home at thirteen and he was one of the youngest children. He only remembered three of his sisters names and then his one brother.

technically speaking my great grandma had 17 kids, she had a set of twins that did not makeit and a still born singlet as well. Neil was killed at 4 yrs old but the rest (13 total) lived to be at least 50+ and 8 of them are still living. my grandma is 73 at the moment.
