May. 14th, 2006 08:43 pmI find myself obsessed with boys’ names. There are very few truly ‘girly’ names that I like. Is anyone else like this?
Okay, here is a list of my current favourite names. Let me know what you think. Also, I'd love to hear of any combinations of the first/middle names that appeal to you.
Boys:
Theodore
Elliott
Milo (My – low)
Noah
James
Oliver
Simon
Elijah
Neville
Emery
Quinn
Liam
Seamus (Shay – mus)
Girls:
Elliott
Rylan
Willow
Ean
Middle Names:
Cyrus
Patrick
Morgan
Spencer
Wyatt
Drew
Lawrence
Jude
Ashton
Reese
Marty
Finn
Jack
Wilder
Montague
Also, I think my grandparents’ names are rather funny/interesting. They are: Dennix and Birte (beer-ta), Camilla and Vernon.

Date: 2006-05-14 07:46 pm (UTC)Elliott - Nice
Milo - Nice
Noah - I don't care for this, but I do like the feminine version Noa, for a girl.
James - Nice if plain.
Oliver - Very trendy
Simon - Ok, a bit nerdy sounding to me.
Elijah - Too common for me, or I get that impression. I know several.
Neville - I don't like this at all.
Emery - Nice, kind of makes me think of nail files though.
Quinn - Nms.
Liam - Nice
Seamus - Nms but fine.
Elliott - Scrubs has not helped this masculine name seem even the slightest bit feminine to me. I really don't think it's a good girl name at all.
Rylan - Contrived
Willow - Ok, but very passive and meek sounding to me.
Ean - No

Date: 2006-05-14 08:14 pm (UTC)I never thought of 'Noa' for a girl, but it's really, really pretty.
There is a girl named Elliott on scrubs? I've only watched the show once or twice. That's awesome, though.
That's my problem with a lot of girl names - they sound weak or flowery. I like Willow because I consider it 'airy' as opposed to passive?
