Naamah?

I was walking in the graveyard today when I spotted a grave for one Naamah. I'd never heard this name before. It didn't say whether it was a man or a woman, and I think this person was born in the mid 19th century (they died in 1909). Any information/opinions on this name?

As I've heard it, Naama (with or without the "h", I guess) is a female Hebrew name.

Naamah is a variation of Na'ama, as far as I know. Na'ama is a female Jewish/Hebrew name. It's originally a biblical name but in its modern spelling in Hebrew (נעמה) means "pleasant".

I've never heard of that name before... but it's pretty!

Naamah is a goddess in the (fictional) Kushiel trilogy by Jacqueline Carey. She is the goddess of love/pleasure.
