What do you all think of the name Beulah? It's an older female name. I like it, mostly because there's a now defunct band by the same name. The only reason why I wouldn't name a kid that is because the only nickname I can think of is Bella, and our friends just had a baby and named her Bella.

I don't know if anyone visits this, but they play create-a-family and create-a-classroom with their favorite names.

I think Beulah is extremely old-fashioned, but not in a old-ladyish way like Edna and Thelma are... mostly because I've never met or even heard of a real-life Beulah. You might be able to get away with it. Personally, I think it's loads better than Bella - you'd probably run into pronunciation issues though.

Beulah.. uhm I have a really close friend who goes by her middle name because her name is Beulah Janiel. Though we like certain names, consider the child's feelings. it's not a common name, and it has that older style ring to it, and quite frankly, my friend HATES her name.
