I wouldnt believe the meaning of 'Nayeli' as alot of baby name sites using Native American 'names' really are not Native American at all.

i only added it to my list because a friend of mine named her daughter that and that's the meaning she gave me... do you have any info on what the true origin of the name is? i'm curious now.

I really dont know much about it, but I know alot of babyname sites online list tons of 'Native American' names with meanings that dont go, or the names themselves are not Native American at all. If your friend is Native American, then I would trust her because she would obviously know what she is talking about.
