After seeing the movie "Coraline," I think I really sort of like the name... what do you think of Coraline? Is it too out there? Like in the movie, is everyone just going to call her Caroline if her name is Coraline?

It's not "too out there", it's just way too similar to Caroline (which is a lot nicer.)

I disagree with the latter statement. I hate the name Caroline and love the name Coraline. I'd go for calling her Cora, to avoid confusion.

You disagree that it's too close to Caroline? Or disagree that I like the name Caroline better? Because I do like Caroline better than Coraline, so you can't actually dispute that.

Caroline is in the top 100 names. Coraline is not. I think Coraline is pretty, but too similar to Caroline. There's nothing to disagree with here, as it is strictly opinion.

She can disagree with an opinion, but she can't (well, shouldn't) dispute it. :)

I disagree with this "(which is a lot nicer.)". Not fighting, just sayin'.
-shrugs-

Plus, all opinions are open to disagreement, like if I think it's a good idea to paint my living room burgundy and my boyfriend thinks I'm crazy and it will look like a murder scene.

It's not too out there, I don't think, but people will associate it with the book and the movie, and I think there would be a lot of people who said Caroline instead. I think it's a lovely name though.

I like Coraline. Caroline sounds so old-ladyish to me, my grandma's name is Carolyn and I dunno... it just screams old to me for some reason. Coraline is more unique and like... fresher? idk how to put it, just my opinion though.

Both of them are very classy, and Cora is on my fave names list. I wouldn't confuse it, even though I bet a lot of people would get their tongues tied.

I like Coraline. I think with the movie coming out, people won't mispronounce it as much.
