Ava and Eva are two different names. So if you want it pronounced "Ay-vuh" or "Av-uh" I'd go with Ava. If you want it pronounced "Ee-vuh" I'd go with Eva.

Ava = AY-vah (eng) or AH-vah (ita)
Eva = EE-va (eng) or EH-vah (ita)
so they're not really alternative spellings of one other..

Quinn Evangeline was the first name that popped into my head. Quinn needs a middle name that is incredibly feminine, methinks.
