[identity profile] sourblowpop19.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Hello.

So, I am in a debate with myself.  I have a name that I like for a girl,

AnnaLynne Elizabeth Rose (Last Name) or
AnnaLynne Elaine Rose (Last Name)

Which do you like better??  They all are after family members minus Elizabeth, I just love that name.

Any suggestions for nicknames??  I'm not really a fan of Anna or Ann so I'm kind of stuck.

If I have a boy, the name will be William Rexall Clark (Last Name).  Again, all after family members, but now, I am having second thoughts on it.

I don't like either. What is up with the capital L in the middle of the first name. I'd dump AnnaLynne.

AnnaLynne McCord is one person ENOUGH for that name, please.

Agree with the above.

Annalyn, maybe. Annelyn. Anneliese? Annalee?

Either way, I'd go with Elizabeth, the l-n thing doubles wrong. Or just Rose.

William yes, the other 2 not so much.

I agree.

I like William Clark.

I like William Rexall Clark.

I feel like all these names are really long. AnnaLynne has a lot of n's, maybe Analynne? I feel like a long first name (annalynne) with a long middle name (Elizabeth) and a second middle name (rose) is just too much. I like AnnaLynne Rose, or AnnaLynne Elaine.

I like your boys' name.

First, go with Elizabeth. Too many same-syllable names ruin the flow. Your girls' name would be alright if it were Anna Lynn Elizabeth or Anna Lynn (no 'e;' that looks completely tacky). The double 'a' pairing of Anna and Elizabeth back-to-back would be too much, so I'd advice against that. Please do not go with AnnaLynne, or even Annalyn. Made up names are horrible, even more so when one of the names is classicly beautiful on its own. How 'bout Anneliese, or Analeisa?

I really do not like AnnaLynne. It is awkward and the L is odd.

How about:
Elizabeth Anna Rose
Elizabeth Rose
Anna Elizabeth
Anna Rose

All great names.

I like William Clark too.

They're both too long. I like Elizabeth Rose. Let her name be her own. It's sweet to name a child after a family member, but not three.

I don't like the name William. I'd go with Rexall Clark or something else.

William Clark sounds really good.

I agree with everyone else that the capital L in the middle looks a little weird. How do you feel about the name Adeline (or Adelynn, even)? It sounds almost exactly like AnnaLynne, except it looks/sounds just a little prettier in my opinion. Plus, you could use the nickname Addie!

Either way, I'd use Elizabeth Rose if I were you, because the L in Elaine doesn't flow with the other L (in Adeline/AnnaLynne).

"AnnaLynne Elizabeth Rose" seems like a really clunky way to smoosh together FOUR filler names. And you know everybody would just call "AnnaLynne" Anna for short, because the capital L makes it look like the Lynne part is a new word.

AnnaLynne Elaine sounds funny when you say them quickly.

I like Elizabeth, and I love Elaine. Could you simplify it a bit? Just Elaine Rose or Elizabeth Rose?

If you absolutely feel the need for more than two names in there, Elizabeth Anna Rose? Or Elaine Anna Rose?

Not to be rude, but it kind of doesn't make sense that you say you don't like Anna, but you like AnnaLynne, which is Anna, just with Lynne tacked on. =/

It would cause confusion. First people would assume Anna was her first name and Lynne was her second. Even after people were made aware it's all one first name, inevitably, more people would probably end up choosing to call her Anna, or Lynne, and most likely it would be Anna, since it's first.

What about a total combo like: Roselyn Elianna("El-ee-anna") (Last name). Which is Rose+Lynne and Elizabeth+Anna.
Or what about Elanna("Eh-lanna") Rose (Last name), or Elanna Roselyn (Last name). Which is Elaine+Anna and again Rose+Lynne.

If you're set on what you have, I think AnnaLynne Elizabeth Rose sounds better then the second one.

I also think William Rexall Clark has good flow, so I like it, as is, I wouldn't take out the Rexall.

I thought of another suggestion you might like. It's still a bit long, but better I think.

Roseanna Elizabeth Lynne (Last name).

Wow, it's as if you knew my good friend who's 2-year-old is AnnaBella Rose Cecilia. Both middle names are after great grandmothers, AnnaBella they just liked. I give my friend crap for the capital B, especially since she's a teacher and should know better.

AnnaLynne doesn't flow well when I try to say it, and AnnaLynne Elaine sounds like a funny made up word - Ann-uh-lynn-uh-lane.
