Sophie Ellis-Bextor has given birth to a baby boy nine weeks early.

A statement released by the star's agent confirmed that both mother and child are in a stable condition.

"Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Richard Jones welcomed the latest addition to their family on Saturday February 7th," it said.

"The happy couple have named their boy Kit Valentine Jones. Both mother and baby are doing well."

Kit Valentine sounds like a girl's name to me, but that's just because I've only seen Kit on girls and Valentine (Vah-len-TEEN-eh) is a girl's name here =).
