LOL, that's terrible. I hesitate to say, though, that some of these names are... actually ok, though nms. Like Esme, Esther, Eugenie, Eurydice even, if a bit out-there.
There was a news story about this a few years ago...the person who first gave it as a name to his kid pronounced it ESS-pin. Yuck! What's next? NBC, ABC, CNN??
