What idea of a person do you get from hearing each of these names? What would you expect them to be like?

Charlie - our cat. So Loving! I like this name, and almost wish I hadn't named our cat it.

Henry - our electrician. Kind of an ass.

Hank - I think of a redneck, sorry.

Jake - Either my nephew or Jacob from Twilight. I think this is a "good strong" name. I've liked all Jake's I've met.

Jed - Nothing comes to mind, don't really like it though.

Will - I think of the kid I met in Colorado a few years back. He was alright. I generally think of attractive people with this name.

Hugh - Grant. I think of Britain/Europe.

I named my cat Hank, and I wish I hadn't since Hank is on my list. My husband says that we can just tell our kid we named him after the cat. :-P

I really like Charlie, too.

The only ones I have clear pictures of are Jed, Will, Charlie, and Hugh.

Jed, Will, and Charlie are all characters from The West Wing, so I picture:

Jed: a friendly, "folksy" sort of older man, devoted to his work and very fatherly toward his coworkers and just about everyone else. Intelligent and well-spoken. Christian without pressing his views on others. (also, the President of the United States)

I expect a Will to look like a fish and be extremely annoying. I really don't like West Wing Will.

Charlie: A sweet young black man, very intelligent and charming, devoted and willing to do anything for anyone.

With Hugh, I picture Hugh Harris (he's a British musician), so young, very tall, soft-spoken, well-dressed (shirts, vests, ties), musical, and with lots of curly red hair. If a Hugh does not have curly red hair I am confused.

Henry - Henry Fool/pervert
Hank - King of the Hill/country singer
Jake - I think of a dog/woof

Will - Good Will Hunting/too smart for his own good.
Hugh - That movie North. "We don't want Hugh (you)." Sounds too much like the word you to me.

Charlie - my first serious boyfriend. Down to earth, sweet, romantic, sporty.
Henry - a spoiled rich kid or a rude kid with a trashy mother that thought the name would make her seem classy.
Hank - an old man. probably a baseball player because I think of Hank Aaron.
Jake - I love this name... I had a horse named Jake when I was around 17.
Jed - Jeb Bush. A reallly country guy.
Will - just an average nice guy.
Hugh - Hefner.

Charlie - I think of the character on the show Numbers. Mainly because the only Charlie I've ever met happened to look a lot like him, and had the geeky/smart thing going on. I also kind of associate it with a guy who likes to party and get into trouble, a la Charlie Sheen, and the dog in All Dogs Go To Heaven.
Henry - I don't have any associations on this one.
Hank - Farm hand, cowboy type. I'm thinking of one of the guys in The Wizard of Oz, though now I don't remember what those characters names actually were. When I was a kid, I always wanted to get a lab puppy and name him this, and put a little hankie/scarf/bandana thing around his neck.
Jake - I've known a TON of Jake's, all different types of guys, so I have no one particular image in mind.
Jed - I dunno... honestly I'm tired and all I can think of is Jedi. Too much Star Wars in my life lol.
Will - This may be my kid's name (I find out tomorrow hopefully if I'm having a boy or girl, it's my chosen boy's name because William was my dad's name, he went by Bill) so obviously I like it and have a lot of positive feelings about it.
Hugh - Handsome, possibly in a rugged way, with an accent, a la Hughs Jackman, Laurie, and Grant.
