So, you've probably all heard about Octomom and her 90 kids, well, the octuplets names have come out now on tv.

Maliah
Noah
Isaiah
Jonah
Jeremiah
McCai
Josiah
Nariah

Could have been worse. The children were all very cute, but very small.

Eh...they're not awful. They all end with the same sound, though. That'll get confusing.

Nariah and McCai are my least favorites by far.

McCai doesn't fit in with the rest of them. :P For some reason that really bothers me. If you're going to have a theme, HAVE A THEME!

McCai? seriously? ew

McCai and Noriah are definitely my least favorites. Noriah sounds like a combination of Mariah and Norah. McCai is too creative.

McCai and Nariah are ick. Malia I like better, the rest are ok as it, if matchy.

Yep, I'm in love with this woman. I hate mccai, though.

I like Isaiah quite a bit. The others aren't horrible (with the exception of McCai) but they all sound way too similar.

The names aren't bad (well, most of them), but I just hate matchy names. I mean, the kids were already born together, will be forever referred to as 'the octuplets', they don't need names which will reinforce the idea that they're part of a matched set.

I agree with pretty much everyone else, about how the names are too matchy.
I do love Noah, however.

I'd be curious to know what her other kids' names are.

I feel bad for poor McCai. His/her(?) name doesn't match the rest, haha.

I like Noah and Jonah.

McCai is pretty bad, and then half of the names rhyme, or have the same ending... definitely not my taste.

I like the first 4 names, but not the last 4!

It must be so hard to come up with 8 names you really like, though. It would be for me, at least. There are quite a few names I like, but not many I like enough to really use.

Jeremiah, Josiah, and Nariah? Total overkill. D:

I like Maliah, but without the 'h.' The 'h' ruins the name, I think.

McCai is godawful. Is that even legit?

I like Jonah. :)

Nariah is hiddeous. I'm pretty sure they made it up.

I like:
Noah
Isaiah
Jonah
Jeremiah
Josiah

but I feel like there's a -ah pattern going on here. I don't particularly like Maliah (Malia would be okay, but too Obamaesque for me), and I hate McCai and Nariah.

While I personally wouldn't use names so similar, for naming children of mine, I think having done so, this mom has helped to solidify, via the names, that this is a sibling group, because of the similarity. Not just in sound but the fact that they are biblical names. I think it will help make them (the children) feel closer because of it.

I also don't think she's crazy. Irresponsible, and a bit selfish, yes. But I read she grew up as an only child and thus wanted a large family. I know the loneliness associated with being an only child. Or being raised away from siblings. This woman clearly still carries that loneliness and clearly wanting to be a mother, didn't want that for her own. I understand that, but I think the 6 she was already struggling to care for, was plenty. I only hope social services doesn't swoop in like the vultures they are, and break this family up. Instead of money being used to fund ss interference and holding children hostage or adopting them out, it should be spent on helping families with their needs, so they can stay together.

I'm not a fan of these names together at all. I don't really like any of them individually too much, either. I've been wondering how popular Malia is going to become.

I feel the same way. A single mother with six kids is extreme. A single mother with 14 that she got artifically is a crime. She needs help. I hope she doesn't try to have more...

Why didn't she adopt a dozen or so "lonely" children?

Noah and Jonah, although a little similar for my liking, are very cute. Actually, a lot of the names are similar. Nariah Josiah and Maliah? erm....

I think it's extreme loneliness, and the selfishness of wanting kids.

I definitely don't agree with her having the extra kids after she already had 6, and I definitely think she needs counseling, I just don't like such severe labels as "crazy", especially coming from people on the outside, who are only hearing a few details, and haven't witnessed the whole picture. It's like judging a book by it's cover.

There's alot of things people do that they shouldn't, and even to the extreme, I don't think that means they're crazy. Look at smoking. There's no excuse anymore for anyone to smoke, because it's clear how bad it is, that cigs are essentially poison sticks, yet people are still smoking them, and some an obscene amount per day! Yet, I've never heard anyone call smokers crazy, as in literally meaning it, though really they could be because they are knowingly doing something, ingesting toxins, that it's been proven, cause several health problems, and can even lead to death, plus it's not just themselves they are putting at risk, but anyone around them.

I think if this mother were actually that mentally unstable, that 'crazy' as people are calling her, her parents would have tried to have her committed. Or someone like maybe one of the doctors who helped her conceive, or those who treated her while she was pregnant, would have picked up on any mental problems severe enough to be of such concern, and thus said something, done something. Yet, that doesn't seem the case, so I really don't feel it warranted to use such extreme labels for people we don't know, whose lives we haven't lived, nor witnessed.
