The only one I really like is Parvati, after the Hindu goddess.
Could it work as a middle name?

I strongly dislike Paula/Paola (I have a cousin named Paola), Persephone (because it ends in -phony) and I'm mild to Penelope (I'd like it if it didn't start with the italian word for "penis" :/ )

What about your favorite girl names with P ?

As both a fan of classical mythology and Madeleine L'Engle, I wholeheartedly agree!

I really like Priya and Posey, but probably wouldn't use either. Penelope is one of my least favorite P names, I think.

I think it would work with the right first name and last name.

My favorite is probably Paige. I also like Penelope, Petra, Peri, Portia, Priya, and Priscilla.

Aside from Persephone (which I love) and Penelope (like the nickname Penny):

Phaedra (One of my favorites girls' names of all time.)
Phoebe
Portia (Another all-time favorite. Too bad it makes people think of the car.)Perdita
Pomona
Philippa (I think the nickname Pippa is adorable!)
Petra
Philomena
Psyche (Although I doubt anyone would actually want to use it in real life.)Priscilla
Proserpina
Priya (Means "beloved" in Sanskrit.)
Padma
Parisa (I had a friend named this. It's Persian for "fairy-like".)
Parvana (Means "butterfly" in Persian.)
Pele (Hawaiian Goddess)

I like Persephone. I don't really say "phony" when I say it. It's more like per-SEH-pha-nee.
