Feb. 5th, 2009 10:52 amI stumbled across this community yesterday and, after scrolling through some of the posts, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite names. Bolded are the names I plan on using for my children someday.
Boys : Fox, Rhys, Holden, Theo (pronounced Tay-oh), Callum, Naoise, Eamon, and Dresden.
Girls : Peter Rene, October Jude, Clemence, Margot, Saoirse, Eira, Emory, Joss, and Maude.
Thoughts? And any good opinions on middle names for Fox and/or Callum?

Date: 2009-02-06 12:44 pm (UTC)Fox - Much as I love Mulder, and I do kind of think the name is cool in a weird way...I think it's a little too much to ever actually use.
Rhys - I like it spelt this way, and only this way.
Holden - Used to love it when I went through the compulsory "The Catcher in the Rye is the greatest novel ever" phase. Now I guess I think it's ok. It's a little too American for me I think (I'm from the UK)
Theo (pronounced Tay-oh) - I don't really like it with any pronunciation tbh. It's also getting very popular, over here at least. I think it's cuz there's a footballer with the name.
Callum - It's ok I guess
Naoise - unsure
Eamon - Not a fan
Dresden - hate it, sorry
Girls :
Peter Rene - I guess Peta Renee would be ok...it's not my style but at least it would be more feminine.
October Jude - October is a silly name which I kind of like, although I'd never use it! Jude on its own I think of as masculine. I've only heard it on girls as a nickname for Judith.
Clemence - Don't like it
Margot - Don't like it
Saoirse - unsure
Eira - unsure
Emory - Sounds like emery - as in emery board?
Joss - I like it for a boy
Maude - Ugly and old-fashioned
