Need help naming triplets!!! :oD
Jan. 31st, 2009 09:56 pmHokay. So.
I used to nanny for this family with one little girl (who is now two years old). Her name is Roxanne, a name I must admit I love, and they call her Roxy, which I think is pretty much the cutest thing ever. SHE is the cutest thing ever. Anyway. The mom recently emailed me to tell me that she is pregnant with TRIPLETS, and then emailed me again a short time later to tell me that they are all girls and she needs serious help with names.
She said that she would like to steer clear of "matchy" names, so all names beginning with "R" are out. I gave her a few suggestions, and she likes the names Chloe, Leila, Lily, and Mercedes alot (just to give you an idea of her taste).
1. Any suggestions I can pass on?
2. If you were having triplets (all girls) what would you name them?

Date: 2009-01-31 10:29 pm (UTC)Out of the ones she listed, I really like Leila, and I think it fits well with Roxy. Lily and Chloe might end up being kind of matchy, since they all end in the -y sound, but Leila is adorable and works well.
Other ideas: Lydia, Amelia, Willa, Lena, Caroline, Claire, Jocelyn, Evelyn, Eleanor, Catherine.
I would suggest Leila, Willa, and Claire to her. I think they sound great together, and with Roxanne/Roxy.
If I had triplets, I'd name them Juliet, Willa, and Lena.

Or, since she has a daughter Roxanne, it'd be cute to have kids with song names:

Date: 2009-02-01 06:08 am (UTC)Violet Claire OR Claire Elizabeth (My top two combos. I waiver.)
Katerina Pearl
Gretchen Violet OR Gretchen Paige, depending on girl #1's name
I have also considered doing two middle names, but I don't know what I'd put with the second two girls. The first girl would be Claire Elizabeth Anne. I'm trying to figure out a way to work the names Mae and Caroline in there, too, but both seem to make the names unwieldy, so I'll probably just stick to one middle name.
