Jan. 31st, 2009 02:45 amAnother game!
Post of list of your five favorite combos for each gender (if you don't have five, just make some up).
Look on the 2007 SSA list (http://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/popularnames.cgi) and see where each name in the combo ranks.
I'll give you a year. Go see where the ranking would fall on those new lists.
Let's see what combos we can come up with!
Use these years:
Girls Combos
#1 = 1954
#2 = 1911
#3 = 1945
#4 = 1922
#5 = 1971
Boys Combos
#1 = 1908
#2 = 1966
#3 = 1989
#4 = 1996
#5 = 1950
Here's mine:
Madeline Amelia (61, 77) = Virginia Ellen
Elizabeth Audrey (10, 51) = Frances Bernice
Julia Catherine (34, 143) = Frances Audrey
Charlotte Ruby (102, 116) = Elaine Christine
Vivian Rebecca (210, 105) = Rose Alicia
Benjamin Colin (26, 119) = Roy Max
Julian Henry (66, 91) = Lawrence Jay
Oliver Matthew (140, 9) = Angel James
Josiah Timothy (106, 100) = Cole Victor
Ezra Theodore (301, 342) = Jerald Rene
I like Virginia Ellen. My last three girls would sound better flipped (Audrey Frances, Christine Elaine and Alicia Rose). The boys names all stink.
I <3 this game!
Date: 2009-01-31 11:15 am (UTC)Leslie Linda - 127, 496 - Julia Fay (Funny, Julia Fay sounds so modern, whereas Leslie Linda sounds like it should be from 1954!)
Allison Carey (Carrie is listed) - 46, 988 - Eva Delpha
Janna Shea (Jana is listed) - 677, 927 - Belva Rene (Eww, Belva? That reminds me of "Mulva" from Seinfeld.)
Kaylen Tara - 849, 539 - Lennie Theodora
Stacey Kelly (Stacy is listed) - 693, 222 - Lillie Norma
Luke Brian - 46, 81 - Sam Tom lol
Jason Elliott - 59, 389 - Wayne Alonzo
Bradley Garrett - 194, 162 - Darius Randall
Kyle Peter - 86, 178 - Isaac Fernando
Taylor Wesley - 249, 195 - Lance Sidney
I never noticed how the boy names I like are so much more popular than the girl names.

Re: I <3 this game!
Date: 2009-01-31 10:00 pm (UTC)Same here! Most of my boys' names were in the top 50, if not the top 20, but my favorite girls' names were nearly all lower than 100!
