4. Emil / Thea
5. Kristian / Nora
6. Jonas / Ida
7. Magnus / Sofie
8. Oliver / Ingrid
9. Tobias / Leah
10. Alexander / Julie
11. Andreas / Hanna
12. Henrik / Mia
13. Daniel / Anna

17. Kristoffer / Amalie
18. Sebastian / Vilde
19. Martin / Tuva
20. Jakob / Malin
Many of these names have been in the top for many years straight now, and I'm getting really annoyed at how people give their kids these names willingly. Fine, they're nice enough names, most of them anyway, but why do you want to give your kids names that everybody else have?

Date: 2009-01-27 11:12 pm (UTC)It's because of that show that I secretly love the name Spencer for a girl.
But the lame male Spencer on The Hills completely ruins the name for both girls and boys. Ugh.
Sorry so random. :)

Just because someone's named John Smith doesn't mean he'll be a boring person. Likewise, a kr8tyv yooNikk name doesn't ensure a special, fantabulous life full of wonderful things. It's just...a name. Nothing more, nothing less.
I think they're pretty nice, for the most part.

Date: 2009-01-28 11:32 pm (UTC)But, I know a lot of people who have been one of many with the same name in a class, and it gets frustrating. I have two close friends with the exact same name, exact same spelling and everything, and it gets confusing. One of them doesn't even go by her first name anymore, she goes by her last name, just to avoid said confusion.
I don't agree with a name being just a name. It's something you're stuck with for the rest of your life, and you should be able to get one that you'll learn to like. Even by giving your child a middle name (not very common in Norway) in addition to the super popular name would be better than just the most popular name there is at the moment.
That's how I feel anyway.
