One of my favorite boy names is "Dean"
I love how it's a one syllable, strong sounding name.
I got it from a character in Jack Kerouac's On The Road.

What are your opinions on the name?

I like it too, especially with the On The Road association.

I don't really like it, but I don't really dislike it, either. I think it's a good name.

I like it, but it makes me think of like a dean at a college.

I like it, too, for the same reasons. I tend to like strong, one-syllable names for boys (and nicknames that fit this criteria, too): Jack, John, Luke, etc.

I love it. I plan on using it as a mn for either sex on my next child. It's my grandmother's middle name as well. :)

I think of Supernatural ;) But I've heard they took the name from On the Road.

I like it!

I absolutely love the name, although I have to admit the Kerouac association annoys me. Dean reminds me of New England and sweaters, if that makes sense. <3 it!

My friend's dad is named Dean and in junior high everyone called him Deanie the Weenie, or just Weenie, or Dean-Bean the Queen, so hmmmmm. There's that.

I love it. I absolutely love it. I can't think of anything that's bad about it, I have no negative connotations with it. It's great. I'd love to use it as a middle name for a boy someday.

I like it. It reminds me of James Dean too. It's also my grandpa's fn and my dad's mn. I'm not likely to use it, unless for some reason I end up with a third son. But I do think it's a good choice for a name.

I love it =] I think it grows well with a child and it's very strong.
