Question!


My mother passed away when I was 15 (almost 7 years ago) and I've always wanted to honor her by naming my child after her.  Her name was Brenda.  Problem is, I really don't want it as a first name because my best friend's estranged sister is also named Brenda.  Could it be used as a middle name?  I'm really not sure since I've never come across it.

Definitely. I'd use it as a middle name if you don't want it as a first name.

you could also use a similar name if you really don't want to use brenda? maybe brenna or brynn?

Just curious, what about ANY name makes it unusable as a middle name to you?

I think ALL names could work as middle names. Not sure why Brenda would be above this rule!

Well it's just like with my name (Heather), I couldn't really see that as a middle name. But maybe it's just because I've just never come across it.

I'd definitely use it as a middle name. You could always use Brendan for a boy, too.

You could use any name you want as a middle name...there's no rules surrounding what can't or can't be a middle name :)
