this surprises me even more. Antonia and Antonella are two very typical italian names, especially the latter, so I didn't expect them to be used in the US (I've seen Toni quite a bit, Toni Weschler, Toni Braxton, etc)
my mom has a cousin that's just Tony. her dad lost his brother in the war, and decided to name his first kid after him, boy or girl. so he got a girl Tony followed by two boys :/
