I think Reagan is a weird sort of halfway point between:
A. The nearly universal baby-popularity of two syllables, beginning with Kay-Rae-Brae-Jae-Bai, ending in -an, -in, -yn, -en, -on. Bailyn, Jaedyn, Cailyn, Katelyn, Braeden, Reagan... bleh.
and
B. Unisex names.
So I don't really like it.
Dominic is okay. I wouldn't use it, of all the millions of names in the world, but I certainly have no objections to it, either.
I like Dominic. I hate Reagan. I don't LIKE Makenna, but I have sort of a soft spot for it because it's my cousin's daughter's name, but that's the only spelling I like -- McKenna is awful and looks like a last name and Mckenna looks like someone is spelling a last name and doesn't realize the K should be capitalized.
I'm generally annoyed by the entire Mc-trend in girl names, so I'm not a fan of McKenna. Reagan just sounds really trendy and pseudo surname and/or presidential to me. I don't like it. Plus, I think of The Exorcist.

Date: 2009-01-20 12:21 am (UTC)Reagan makes me think of the Pres, so I wouldn't use it. (too 'lastname' for me) but all the Reagans I knew were nice. (2)
Dominic is nice too, but to me sounds like an older man.

I like Dominic but I doubt I'd ever use it.

Date: 2009-01-20 03:14 am (UTC)I prefer Regan, as Reagan calls to mind the former president.
Love.
