how come people keep thinking quinn is a girl's name? i am naming my boy quinn, but i keep seeing it pop up as a girl's name. just curious.

It's unisex.

Personally, I like it better as a girls name, but it's a really nice boys name too (I know one of either sex).

oh! i didn't know about that. i don't watch one tree hill. damn, i'm afraid we'll be faced with a bunch of girls named quinn once ours goes to school. i better choose a good middle name, just in case!

I'm in 11th grade, and I've yet to meet a girl named Quinn. And in all my years of babysitting and taking the three girls I watch to Mommy (erm... babysitter?) and Me classes, I've never come across any younger Quinn's.

I dont think you'll really have a problem with it.

thanks for the reassurance! i suppose the trend nowadays is to go with a more gender-neutral name anyway. i just love quinn, the simplicity of it, yet it is a strong name.
