While I've seen so many variations and add-ons of Jaden/Jayden/Jaeden/Jaiden/Ayden/Aiden/Aaden/etc etc etc(I could go on for practically ever), I was pretty shocked when I saw this one on a chart today

Jadelyn. I wanted to cry.

Also, a friend recently had a little girl and named her Miya Nevaeh. WDYT? Not a fan, they just sound too similar.

I hate Nevaeh with a passion.

Miya isn't horrible, but the spelling is blah. Also this spelling would lend it to a couple different pronunciations (Mia vs. Maya). So how do you say it?

A friend of a friend named her baby girl Jadelyn a few years ago and I still love it.


I'm not a fan of Nevaeh at all though. WTF is typically my reaction when I see/hear it.

I found a list with all of the -aden names that appear on the SSA list and other people had sighted somewhere, I'll try and dig out the link for you.
For me, the ugliest has to be Braydon, the sound is so unattractive. I think the stupidest is Slayden.

Mia or Maya are both lovely, but Miya Nevaeh is so trashy.

Agree, I love the name Maya and Mia, but I dislike the spelling she chose and I really HATE the middle name.

I always assumed it was nuh-VAY-uh sort of, but I have also heard it as nuh-VAY. I have no idea- it's ugly any way you pronounce it.

My friend's daughter is named Nevaeh. They pronounce it Nuh-vay-ah.

Most people I know say it nuh-vye-uh, although I know a couple people who say nuh-vay-uh. I think the nuh-vye-uh pronunciation could be pretty but come on, someone took a word and spelled it backwards and slapped it on their kid. NOT cool.

I hate the name Nevaeh sooo much. Not a fan of Miya, mosttly because I don'tn know if it's Mia or Maya... and Aidan/en and Jaden are the only ones I like out of all those combos. Jadelyn makes me so sad...

I reluctantly like the way the name Nevaeh, but I don't like the way it came about and so I was never a fan of the name. I'd prefer Mia. I'm not a fan either, really.

I have a little cousin named Jaelyn (I think that's how you spell it, but knowing them it could be anything) and another little cousin who's middle name is Jaden. I've never really been a fan of the name. It's pretty, it's just the popularity of it and the tendency to spell it all manner of different ways (I like Jaden the best).

I always loved the name Aiden but I dropped it after it became so damn popular.
