I'm 36 wks pregnant, and my husband and I still can't agree on any baby girl names. We have a few names in the 'maybes', but thats it. So far, we like:

Caylee
Cadence nn Cadie

He likes Brynn, but to me it doesn't really sound like a name. wdyt?

As for middle names, we don't have any ideas at all.

Our last name is George, which I think is really hard to put names with. Do you have any suggestions?

lol i thought of regina too! but that is a good suggestion, to go for multiple syllable names that end in A. i'm not really good at thinking of them (all i came up with was isabella and anneliesa) but still.

i love the name brynn, but it sounds very blunt with your last name and it's important that you like it too, so i'd totally shun that one.

cadence is cute, but it's just cute. i'm not sure how adult it can sound, and i'm very into naming children as adults because my name is ashley and i feel like i've outgrown it. caylee has the same issue, but cadence might sound a little more grown up than caylee ever could.

also, caylee is the name of that little girl that died recently. spelled the same and everything. it's a very cute name, but you might want to think about that. it might not matter to you, but it's the first thing i think of when i hear the name so i imagine other people would make the connection as well.

i have to agree with yall. watching the new stories for months and months on end about her has put that name on my "never going to be used" list. it just makes me sad. it also put the name "casey" on that list.

I didn't hear about the girl Caylee. I like Cadence but I feel the same way about it -- not an adult's name. Nor is Caylee, really.

I actually knew a girl named Kendra George.

One time her little sister randomly showed up at our school (Kendra was like 17, sister about 11) with this big wheel of cheese in plastic wrap, and Kendra couldn't open it so she poked a hole in it with her pencil and ate the cheese out of the hole. It was pretty hilarious.

I like Cadence nn Cadie better. I don't like how Caylee looks and I can't imagine a grown woman with the name.

Cadence Brynn sounds nice. :)

I love the name Brynn! I've been wanting to name my daughter Brynne after my grandfather, as I want to use him name, but I wouldn't want to name my son Bryn in this day and age.

Also, your last name is my other grandfathers name, kind of a coincidence!

Caylee and Cadance - I think there are too many of them these days - its getting to be such a common name. Plus Caylee just reminds people of Caylee Anthony, although I'm sure the attachment wont be there for years to come.

Cadie is pretty, so I vote for Cadence. Or you could just use Cadie as a full name. I like the name Connie, but not anything that it's short for, like Constance, so I'd go for the short version.

They're both really trendy, but especially Caylee. It's just so common and... insubstantial-sounding. What about other names with a similar sound? Maybe...

Callista
Calla
Caitlin
Cecily

I wouldn't suggest Brynn... it doesn't seem much like a name to me, either, and there's no way of telling if it's a girl or a boy.

I'm not crazy about either really, but I think Cadence is a lot better than Caylee (which I think is a bit tacky and little-girlie). I like a lot of names starting with a C though:

Clara
Camille/Camilla
Caitlin
Catherine
Cecilia
Celia
Cordelia
Corrine/Corrina
Carmen

I really can't picture the name Bryn(n) on a girl - it's just so masculine to me. Also I think that two or three syllables would sound better with your surname. Clara George, Carmen George and Celia George sound nice I think.

I like Caylee, but I much prefer it spelled Kaley or Kaylee.

I read a book when I was younger in which the main character was named Brynn. I loved the story and the name. However, as much as I loved Brynn it seems like it should be a nick name for something longer. Then, later on, found out a niece of mine had a boyfriend with a sister named Brynthy (Brynn-thee)or however she spelled it. I don't mind Brynthy, but then I thought about it and came up with something I like better: Brynthia, which is a full name that isn't too out there, and it has the nick name Brynn. So maybe you could consider that?

I don't really like Caylee because to me it just sounds like saying "Ok, Lee" without the 'O' of Ok. And I don't like Cadence as a name because it's a word.

to me Caylee is for a child 5 and under. i just can't see it on a teenager and woman.

i really love Cadence. i also like Brynn. i'm not sure what middle names would go well with Brynn though...

I can see Caylee on a really annoying teenager, but no one older than like 17.

I like Brynn the best. Brynn also reminds me of Briony, which I like a lot. Cadence and Caylee really aren't my style and I don't think they age well, but I like Cecilia, which sounds lovely with George! Ha, but Cecilia Briony would be a little too "Atonement", I know. :)

I don't like that particular spelling of Caylee. I much prefer Kayleigh. Out of the names listed, I think it sounds best with your last name.

Cadence and Brynn are quite nice - Caylee is too cutesy for something that needs to last 60-80 years.

I really like Brynn, but Brynn George sounds so blunt. Similar names might be Brenna, Briana, Brennan. I like Caylee better than Cadence personally, but Caylee sounds young and doesn't have a longer name to fall back on.

I don't like Caylee or Cadence... I dunno, they just don't sit well with me. I adore Brynn though. I hope to use it someday, either as a first or middle name.

I second someone who said Katie - I think Caitlin/Kaitlyn George sounds pretty.

I really like Cadence but i always think of Brynn as a male name.

Cadence George has a fantastic ring to it.
