First Baby of the Year: Prince Edward Island

Damien Alexander arrived in high fashion during one of the worst snow storms of the past 5 years. The mother was transported in ambulance with a snow plow. A drive that would normally take an hour took nearly 5 to get to the hospital. Quite the birth story! As for the name, I don't love it, but it is nice.

He joins 2 year old sister Bridget.

Aww..I think that's a nice name. Not my fav but nice enough :) I live in the next province over from PEI and we got hit with the snow too!

It was lovely, wasn't it! Charlottetown got hit the worse of anywhere in the Maritimes. 50 cm with drifts of 2-3 meters. Yay East Coast winters!

The first baby born in my city this year was called Kyle William. Kind of boring, but honestly I was expecting it to be something like 'Mykaelah Jaede', so pretty good, considering.

The first baby born here (Des Moines, Iowa) was named Aidan (not sure what spelling they went with). I always liked the name Aidan, but I feel bad when so many kids the same age have the same name.
