How do you pronounce it? I love how it looks.

'Shu-vawn' Joy.

I was saying it like how it was spelled, LOL.

I dislike Sibohan for the simple reason that Americans will pronounce it as it's spelled. I don't like setting kids up for failure and constant "No, it's Siv-awn" for the rest of their life.

I like it--I love the Gaelic names because of my heritage, too. Sadly, I would probably hesitate to use it due to the pronunciation problems it could cause. I'm all for preserving heritage, but at the same time, I don't to cause my child any unnecessary suffering. :)

I like Siobhan, but as an alternative, I went to high school with a Chivonne. :)

Looks pretty, but I don't like the way Siobhan is pronounced.

I love the name Joy, but I greatly despise names that are spelled NOTHING like they are pronounced. To me that would be like naming your child Vrion and then being all "It's pronounced the same as Brian!"

*shrugs* I'm still not a fan of it. But, that's just personal preference.
