Me too! When they called out her name in assembly then when I later saw it written down, I thought what!? surely the person who was calling the names out just pronounced it wrong? but no..

Recently I found out she's part Samoan which makes sense as the name is obviously pronounced using the Samoan vowel sounds (where 'i' makes a double 'e' sound, and 'a' makes an 'ah' sound)
