I am having trouble with boy names...any suggestions or ideas!? Please send my way...
I  find out in 7 days the sex!!!!
If She's a girl Sage Marie I have decided on.
The only boy name I sort of like is Arlo. help...

I find out my baby's sex in exactly 2 weeks- we only have boy's name picked- Benjamin (it's a family name)

i do like arlo, but i live (and grew up) nearby the guthries (and went to school with his kids) so it would be wierd for me to use.

Did you really?! Every Thanksgiving and Christmas my family sings "Alice's Restaurant" (including my nieces and nephews ages 2-11 and my grandma's (78 and 84). I'm quite jealous! :-D

yes. the guthries live in a very rural part of the berkshires, and i lived there growing up. the kids: abe was in my brothers grade, two years ahead of me. cathyeliza was in the year behind me, and sarah lee (who is now a musician in her own right, with her husband johnny irion) was younger.

in high school, abe was part of a band called xavier, and still is. theyre just a few local guys who play the region. in junior high, my brother played drums with him and i remember riding with my mother to drive him over to the guthries house.

actually, i am a photographer for the local newspaper and i shoot thanksgiving at the guthrie center (http://www.guthriecenter.org) every year, which is free for anyone who wants a meal and good jam music. the guthrie center is in the church thats mentioned in the song, where alice lived. arlo bought it years ago and now it is a music venue. its always a fun time. the whole family is always there, arlo and all. really nice people.

also, we did a story a few years ago on alice, who now is an artist living in florida. she was back up in the area for the summer and i was lucky enough to be the one to photograph her.

i grew up singing the song every thanksgiving too, and every radio station in the berkshires plays the song on thanksgiving because its rooted here (i live in stockbridge currently, actually, which is the town referenced in the song.)

Sage and Arlo would actually make a new set for siblings - if you plan on having more than one.
