Would anybody consider the name Adler for a girl?

Yes.
Addie as a nickname.

Not for a girl, no, but I guess Addie would be a nice nickname.

I like Addison better.

With the "son" on the end, this feels like a boys name to me.

It sounds way too masculine to me. Addie's a great nickname, but for Addison or something, not Adler. If anything, it works as a middle name for a girl, because it sounds like a last name.

No, and not for a boy either.

Probably. I like some masculine names on girls.

I knew one. She was tall and thin - it suited her.

I'm sure some people would. I am absolutely not one of them.

Hmm it does sound masculine, too many male namesakes.
Adeline is close, though.

I like it. I knew a girl named Alder (like the tree) and she was gorgeous -- she carried her name well.

No. Grace Adler, Will & Grace. That's all that could come to mind. I wouldn't consider it for anybody, it doesn't seem like a first name.

Not my style; it sounds uber-trendy.
