Lucia -- I like this if it's pronounced "Loo-see-uh", but someone told me it's supposed to be "Loo-shuh". Can it be either?
Elias -- Is it "Ell-ee-us" or "Ee-lye-us"? I think both are nice.
Elias -- Is it "Ell-ee-us" or "Ee-lye-us"? I think both are nice.

Date: 2006-04-30 11:53 am (UTC)What about AnaLucia on the show Lost? It's "An-nuh-loo-see-uh".
And I never guessed that the "S" would be silent in Elias. Hmm.

Date: 2006-04-30 01:38 pm (UTC)I think I would only use Lucia as a middle name, so I can pronounce it "Loo-see-uh" and not have to worry about people mispronouncing it all the time.
I would use Elias as a first name and pronounce it either "Ee-lye-us" or "Eh-lye-us".
