One of my best friends had her first baby (a boy!) last night at 7:29pm. He was 6 pounds, 7 ounces and 20 inches long. His name? Matthias Alonzo (Alonzo after her dad..and she plans on calling him Matt).

It doesn't go together too bad actually! Neither name are anywhere near my list but Alonzo is after her dad and that kind of thing always makes a huge difference in my eyes. Congratulations to her!

Matthias isn't too bad. Alonzo, I don't like at all, but for that meaning, it's nice.

i thought 'little house on the prairie' as soon as i saw alonzo, but now that i think about it, i think his name was almanzo/almonzo. anyway, i like that its after her dad, i am a big fan of using names with personal meaning to the parents.

matthias is ok too, as is matt.
