The middle name is dreadful, but I actually don't hate the rest of it. I mean, I would prefer it to be unhyphenated and to have it spelled Jordan, but I think it could have been a lot worse. I like this better than Jinger, Joy-Anna or their pronunciation of Johannah.

It is Jo-hann-uh, I just don't like it that way ... whether there's an H or not, I've always known Joanna and Johanna(h) to be pronounced the same way. Well, unless we're talking the German version of Johanna, but that's different.

Female of European names: Johan or Johannes (should be pronounced Yo-hann-ah) but I'm sure in most English speaking countries it's used as Joanna. I knew a girl called Johanna at school.

What little I could find on the Internet about the name Makiya suggests that it's an Arab name, and it's originally masculine. They really messed up on this one.
