Name that turtle!

My boyfriend and I recently discovered that our turtle, Alfred, is a girl, not a boy.

We want to rename her in light of this realization. We've been thinking "Frida/Freda" or "Freya," but we'll take any suggestions! Thanks in advance!

Frida, definitely. She looks very...stout German nanny to me. In a turtle way. :P


Or maybe Friday? Allie? Alfreda?

if I had a nickle for every girl-turtle-with-boy-name that has ever been in my family... well, I'd have less than a dollar. but I'd probably have $.25 or more... we currently have one my 29 year old brother got for his 6th birthday. Anthony has laid an egg before! yet nobody changed her name.

I thought about keeping it Alfred, but we're having such a hard time transitioning calling it from he to she. If we change her name to something feminine, maybe it'll make it easier?
