A friend on Facebook just had a baby daughter:

Madelynn Elise

I find it pretty overall, but the spelling of the first name seems cumbersome. I guess she wanted to make clear that the pronunciation is not the same as Madeleine.

WDYT?

i used to love madeline. but i hate the maddy nickname now because every madison/maddasyn and madeline/maddylynn on earth is going to go by maddy and its just... too much. i would never want a daughter of mine mistaken for a maddysyn! blech.

I'd really like Madelyn Elise. The extra n seems unnecessary.

Love Madeline pronounced like the French girl with red hair. Hate Madelyn with irrational passion. I blame the horde of 8-10 year old girls I used to coach who were all named Madelyn (nothing against the girls in most cases, but man, their names).
