"Pat" name
Dec. 10th, 2008 08:55 pmHello. We are due to have our first baby in May. We are not finding out what we are having but I have a feeling it is a girl. Either way, I want to have a few names ready. If it is a girl, the first name will most likely be Norah or Nora. I am very close with my mother and wanted to use part of her name for the middle name. Problem is her name is Patti. Not Patricia, just Patti.
I have a few suggestions that people gave me to use the "Pat" part, but can anyone think of any others?
Nora (h) Patterson
Nora (h) Patrice
Thanks!

i think norah patrice sounds quite nice! i like patterson too, if the whole word/name has some kind of meaning to you.

Norah Patience, as others have suggested, is allso pretty good. Someone mentioned Patia. If it's said Puh-TEEuh or Pah-TEEuh, I think it sounds good too.

Date: 2008-12-11 03:40 am (UTC)Madison has been very popular; that is true, but I don't like that name either. Madison is a last name and last names that end in -son usually have their roots in someone being so-and-so's son. Patriarchal lines and all that. I just don't get using them on girls.

Date: 2008-12-11 04:13 pm (UTC)I did some searching online and found the name http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Pathinia (Pathinia), which is a variation on the Greek name 'Parthenia'.
I second some others: Norah Patience sounds really nice.
(Edited because of messed up link).
