Katerina nicknamed Katia?
I think its bumped Juliet off the top spot for me.

I like it, and I'm fond of it spelled Katja as well =)

I love Katerina but not necessarily better than Juliet. I like them both a lot

I don't like Katia as a nn for Katerina, probably because all the Katerina's I've known haven't gone by nn's.

I don't like the nickname, but I love the name Katerina.

I think it's pretty. My only hang up is that I heard that Katya was sang for Russian prostitute, but I've googled my buns off and it only seems to be a myth.

My friend named her daughter Katerina and they call her Katie.

well it's like Katherine/Katharine/Catherine/Catharine.

I'm personally more partial to the "e" for both because the "a"s make me want to say Kah-thah-rin as opposed to "kath'rin" which I think sounds better.

I like Katerina more than Juliet, but I still don't really like it. Plus, I see Katia as a name all on its own, so if you were planning to use that as a nickname, I would just use it as the name to begin with.

I really like Katerina, but Juliet is very nice too. I think I may prefer Ekaterina to Katerina though.

Do you say Katia Kat-ee-uh or Kat-ya? Kat-ee-uh is cute, but I think Kat-ya is the standard. I adore Katja, but the Katia spelling is nice enough too. I've seen Kata as a nn for Katerina, and I definitely like that as well.

I like it. We're going with Katrina for the little critter. And I'd say spell it however the heck you like...transliteration is never an exact science, so there's no spelling a Slavic name "wrong".

I've only ever heard Kat used as a nn for Katerina. I like Katia and Katerina as separate names. I don't like Juliet.

I love that name. My mom was going to name me Katarina, but at the last minute she changed her mind & named me Jessica instead

I'm with some of the others in that I'm not sure I'd go for the combo, but I do like both names.
