[identity profile] neverstarsburn.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
So, I recently transferred colleges, and here are some of the interesting names i've encountered, most of these people are in their twenties, with one or two 18 or 19 year olds sprinkled in, i specified the sexes in italics:

Tatsuhiko (Tatsu) m - he's from japan.
Keegan m
Althea f
Rayne - f said like rain
Malon f
Kaya f
Marius m
Rodrigo m - from Chile
Brooke f

I'm not that into any of the names, I'm kind of up in the air about Keegan and Kaya, I might like them. I'm not sure.
also, my cousin had a baby a while ago, and i just found out his name is Ervin, its after his father, but i still think its a horrible name.

also, i remember reading this name in an article (about the womans society wedding) in Vogue magazine a few years ago:
Celerie
yeah. for reals.

what do you think?

I agree, Ervin/Irvin is bad. Irvinette for a girl is even worse. Sadly, I've seen it!

I like:
Althea
Kaya--is this pronounced Kye-uh? Just curious. If so, it reminds me of the wife in Willow. :)
Marius
Rodrigo
Brooke (but I'd probably only use it as a middle name)

I use to love Keegan - my husband liked it as well then changed his mind. Kaya is pretty. That's about it.
