a friend of mine had her baby this morning:

Herbert John

WDYT? personally, I don't like it, but I think it could grow on me. it's better than some of these other names out there...

I liked the name Herbert when I was in 9th grade. I think it was because of HG Wells. Now, it sounds funny to me, and I don't like the nns Herb or Bert. I guess Bert is the better of the two. John is fine. Nothing exciting but fine.

Eh, not my style at all, but it's miles better than a trendy/tacky/misspelled name.

Could be worse. I'd call him Herbie!

I think John Herbert would be better. I knew a guy in high school who had the middle name Herbert - he tried to hide it from everyone, poor guy. XD

It's not a bad name though. I'd call my kid Bert, maybe. :)

My great-great-grandad was Herbert Leo.

I'm not too keen on it. For me Herbert is up there with Trevor and Hector...old farmers names! :P
