Both horrible! First, a cricket is a not exactly cute, insect.
Second, Page/Paige is not a good name, especially not on a girl, and here's why:
The boy's name Page \p(a)-ge\, also used as girl's name Page, is of French origin. A page is a young boy in training as a personal assistant to a knight. May be used to indicate an ancestor who was a page. - from thinkbabynames.com
I wish more people cared about meanings of names instead of just willy nilly using names that they think sound good. If meanings of words/names, weren't important, we wouldn't have them, and then we may as well not have language period!
I don't think it matters what kind of middle name you give your child because we never use our middle names. If it were Cricket Paige I'd be worried but she can just pretend she doesn't have a middle name if it bothers her that much.
Wasn't there a children's book about a girl named Cricket? I seem to remember one, and maybe that's why I think it's perfectly reasonable. In the US, I mean, where cricket is not a popular sport and thus a far less frequently used word in general.
My cousin is called Cricket but it is just a nickname... it wouldn't be so great as a first name but as a middle name I don't mind it. The name doesn't really flow though.
