My little sister is having a baby!

She has decided she likes the name

Jordon Leighann for a girl

or

Jordon Lee for a boy.

She isn't sure yet how she wants to spell them exactly. So how would you spell them? and Do you like her choices? I can't decide if I like them or not.

I would spell them Jordan Leanne and Jordan Lee. Although I'm not crazy about it, I like Jordan Lee for a boy but I don't really like Jordan for a girl, although Leanne is okay. It flows nicely but it's not my style

I typically dislike unisex names, but if you (general/your sister you) must use one, why spell it awkwardly? Jordan doesn't sound feminine to me at all.

Is she far along at all? Maybe there's time to talk her into something...better.

I don't mind Jordon on either sex, but please try to talk her into spelling "Leanne" the right way.

I second this. Also Jordan is most often spelled with an "an" ending, isn't it?

I didn't even notice that. Yes Jordan should be spelt with an a not an o as far as I know, I've never seen Jordon.

I second the please spell Leanne correctly comment. But also Jordan Leanne flows horribly IMO because of the two ann sounds. If I were going to use something similar (which I wouldn't because Jordan is a page three model with infeasibly large boobs or a middle eastern country to me) I'd go with Jordan Leigh.

Yeah, I agree with Jordan Leanne having a weird flow and that the Leanne spelling is better.

I don't really care for the name Jordan, but if I had to use it, I would say it belongs on a boy.

Despite not liking Jordan, I think Jordan Lee is a good name.

I prefer Jordan with an 'an' ending, but I think that Leighann is a perfectly legitimate spelling, I am almost 30 and my middle name is Leigh, I don't see it as a 'too kre8ive' spelling of lee.

I don't think it's a question of LEIGH being spelled correctly, as that is a legit spelling -- the problem is Leighann, which looks totally made up. The legit spelling of that name is Leanne.

Leighann still looks like a legit name to me personally.

Looks like legit =/= legit

I absolutely abhor Jordan on either sex...but...

I'd do Jordan either way...not Jordon. I like Jordan Leanne or Jordan Lee.

I spell it Jordan cause that's my name :)
i've also seen Jordin and Jordyn, but not Jordon
and i like Jordan Leanne more than Jordon Leighann

People spell my name Jordon all the time. I HATE it.

I hope its a girl! I'd definitely spell Jordan with an a.

My name is Jordan and my last name is mis-pronounced as Lee all the time!

It should be spelled Jordan, and I like Jordan Lee for a boy, but I HATE Jordan on a girl and Leighann is tacky -- Leeanne is okay, I guess -- at least it'd be spelled right.

I think they're both atrocious. Jordon is a masculine name spelt incorrectly, and Lee is a boring, filler, average middle name sported by a large percent of the child's generation. Don't get me started on Leighann... I thought it was lee-hahn until I saw a comment saying Leanne. Suggest Jordana Leanne or Leanne Jordana & Jordan Levi/another middle name

Please don't spell Jordan incorrectly or give it to a girl... Jordana is legit, and you can always just nickname her Jordan if you wish.

I think they are both horrible. Jordan is so masculine, imo, and it just sounds really dated on a girl.

I really have no preference between Leighann/Leanne, but I don't think it flows well because it sounds like jord-ANNE Lee-ANNE, which is way too rhyme-y for my taste.

I second the above poster about Jordana. Jordana sounds more like a girl's name to me.

I would spell them Jordan Leanne and Jordan Lee.

Jordon looks really odd.

The spelling she choose is downright tacky, sorry :/
I dislike Jordan on a girl, but I suggest Jordan Leanne or Jordan Leigh Ann(e) and Jordan Lee.

Jordon sounds like some sort of middle Asian word for death by choking. I want to pronounce it JORE-DON (like... DAWN). Horrible.

Leanne is infinitely better than Leighann, which looks not only like a creative version of Leanne but also Meighan — but now with an L, ladies and gentlemen.

Lee is boring, but there are worse things to be than boring.

The kid will spend their entire life (or until they're old enough to change it) having to correct every single person who writes the names down...

Not a good idea.

Oops! Okay, you can disregard what I just put, then. :)

Leanne still looks better to me as far as the feminine middle name.

Jordan Leigh-Ann I like :)

Jordan Leanne or Jordan Lee would look better. When I see Jordon, I want to pronounce it exactly how it's spelled: Jor-donn (rhymes with con).

To me, Jordan sounds 100% masculine.
Jordan Lee is very nice for a boy.
I don't like it on a girl at all.
